The UK is ready to advance with using the total value of seized Russian holdings to bolster the Ukrainian military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the officials of the UK, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this coordinated action would increase strain on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel Russia to engage in negotiations.

They clarified that the decision would be executed in strong partnership with the America.

British penalties have blocked in excess of £25bn of Russian funds since Moscow began its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, until now, money allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russia's assets had only been drawn from profits and interest generated on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their aim to advance efforts toward using the total worth of the immobilized Moscow's national assets to halt hostilities.

He added that additional measures in the coming days and weeks would apply more pressure on Russia.

This statement comes after European Union officials met in the Danish capital last week to discuss employing seized Russian assets for a €140 billion financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, American leader Donald Trump urged Group of Seven partners to confiscate or otherwise use immobilized Russian assets, as reported by news outlets.

The total of frozen Russia's assets in the European Union is estimated to be approximately €211bn.

Russia launched extensive aerial attacks all over Ukraine on Friday, causing blackouts in many areas of the capital city, the city, and eight other regions.

A pair of individuals were fatally injured and at least 20 people were injured in the attack, Ukrainian officials said.

In a message on social media subsequent to the attack, Zelensky stated that the premeditated assault targeted public and utility structures.

"The necessity is not empty words but decisive action - from the United States, EU, and the seven nations - in delivering defense mechanisms and applying sanctions," he stated.

"Every sanction decision diminishes Russia's war machine," Zelensky noted, in a separate post.

Also on Friday, Zelensky stated to the press he would encourage Sir Keir to join the Purl programme, under which Nato countries purchase weapons from the United States to provide to the Ukrainian forces.

While praising the United Kingdom's consistent assistance for Kyiv, he noted it should indicate firmly that it would participate in the program, as well as enforce further restrictions on Moscow.
